We
are excited to offer the highest quality dental care, using the
latest state-of-the-art equipment, techniques and procedures in
preventive, restorative and cosmetic dentistry. All of these things
combine to diagnose potential problems, plan treatment needs and
effective therapy before extensive treatment is needed.
Intraoral Camera
An intraoral camera is one of the most sophisticated pieces of
recent dental equipment developed. With video monitors, we are able
to show patients their teeth magnified on a television screen. By
using this equipment, you as the patient can understand what is
going on with your oral health. You can be more involved than ever
before in the treatment planning process.
Patient Protection
In
our office, your safety is our highest priority. In the last few
years, patient protection and asepsis have become an issue of public
concern. With the Hepatitis-B Virus and the HIV Virus it has become
necessary for health care facilities to constantly upgrade the techniques
of sterilization and disinfecting products to provide you with the
maximum protection. Examples of these procedures include:
All treatment surfaces are disinfected with the most effective
and safest products available before and after each patient appointment.
All instruments are taken to the lab and placed in an
ultrasonic cleaner. The instruments are then rinsed and placed
in a dry heat autoclave for 20 minutes that reaches a temperature
of 400 to 425 degrees thereby destroying any bacteria or viruses.
Our autoclave is monitored regularly to ensure its effectiveness
and safety.
Staff members use masks, safety glasses and new gloves
for each patient.
The staff members are trained in proper patient protection
and asepsis and have been vaccinated against the Hepatitis-B Virus.
Nap Dental Services
Nap Dental Services is for the patient who is overly anxious and frightened
of dental procedures. Shortly before treatment is to begin the patient
is given a pill containing Triazolam. The patient naps through the
procedure, but can be easily aroused if asked a question or told
to open their mouth wider. The best part of this treatment is that
upon waking the patient remembers nothing about the procedure. If
you are one of those people that is "just plain scared"
to go to the dentist you will benefit from Nap Dental Services.
Caesy Patient Education System
This interactive patient educational system provides information
on 20 different topics including, periodontal therapy, sealants,
cosmetic and restorative dentistry, oral surgery and post-operative
instructions for surgical procedures. The topics are chosen with
a remote and viewed on a monitor allowing our patients to understand
more about dental treatments available to them.
No-Drill Dentistry
Air Abrasion has replaced the drill and the need for numerous shots
of Novocaine in many instances. It is, in essence, a small sandblasting
tool that sprays a fine abrasive to remove the decayed part of the
tooth. The apprehensions associated with shots and drilling are
a thing of the past.
